We have updated the gender field to use a radio button style control, which does not have a default. Hopefully this will prevent people inadvertently choosing the wrong one.

Our design team has completed the enhancement of the Student Profile page. You can see all the entered information without having to go into edit mode.

At the moment, that page is only useful online. It does not print well. That will be addressed in the future. But the information can now be viewed there.

There is now a printable volunteer roster available on the Manage All Volunteers page.

It looks like that field isn't used--which is an oversight on our part.

The limit on Teams controls auto-assignment.If you are using auto-assignment, it will stop automatically putting students on a team once it is full. Students can still register, but will not be assigned.

We'll provide an update once we get the Age Group limit logic in place.

Yes, they are on thicker card stock this year which causes issues for some printers.

You may want to check out the information in the VBS Discussion Group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/AnswersVBS/permalink/1341740319207915/?match=bmFtZSB0YWdzLHRhZ3MsbmFtZQ%3D%3D

Here's some information from Stacia, our main VBS person about the postcards and nametags:

"No good deed goes unpunished. ;) We wanted to offer something that had the nice glossy finish and was sturdier to give the postcards a better look and feel. We thought we had tested them to make sure they printed ok but apparently they don't in many machines. Office supply stores seem to be able to print them ok (they are laser printer friendly still). Or, you can print labels and affix those to the postcards. Or there's always hand-addressing them. We will return to the way they were in previous years for Time Lab. :)"

"New" refers to students who aren't assigned to a class. You can think of it as a list of students that need attention.

If you have students auto-assigned to classes, none of them will show up as "new" unless a available classes for an age group fill up.

System required fields can't have their settings changes, as changing them would break functionality in MyAnswers.

There are two required phone numbers: a "Primary" number for the parents or guardians, and an emergency contact number. They must be present and must be filled in. No other numbers are required by default, and you do not have to even include any others, if you wish.

Many churches requested that the family email address not be required, as they have some people who do not have them. As it is a system field, we cannot make it be required on your event without making it required on every church's event.

You have a "Misc Volunteers" team that is set up to accept all ages. (If you don't specify ages, the system interprets that team as being open to all.)

You really shouldn't need a team that will not have students. Volunteers who are not team leaders do not need to be on a team.

Though I don't really recommend it, if you do want to keep this team, you can set the size limit to -1. That should prevent anyone from being automatically assigned to it.

That page has not been set up for printing, just for viewing online.

Our design team is planning on setting up more pages to be printable. I let them know that you'd like this page to print well.
