Scheduling for Lessons and Rotating Teachers--One Class
I am coordinating one class with rotating teachers. I want teachers to only receive emails for their specific lessons, not every week. I want to be able to assign specific teachers to specific lessons.
We are using this for what we call Children's Church--which occurs in parallel with our normal Worship. Each week--the teacher rotates. How can we make this work that way I'd like it to work.

Hi John,
Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, ABC Digital does not currently support assigning teachers to specific lessons. You can either have a single teacher assigned to a class or multiple teachers assigned to it, but for individual lessons, we only support substitute teachers. That's intended as a one-off fill-in role, so it doesn't really fit your use case. Emails will send to each teacher each week by default, but those can be turned off in the email settings.
Instead, I'd suggest adding all your teachers to the class and then set up a separate shared spreadsheet so you can keep track of which teacher is teaching each week. I agree with you that would be a big improvement to the system and I'll pass on your request to our developers so they're aware, but I'm not able to promise anything.

Arthur

Subscribe?
How do I subscribe for ABC Digital that will become available on January 2, 2021?
Thanks,
John Whited

Hi John,
The subscription system is not yet implemented for ABC Digital, but you can rest assured that we are working on it as our top priority. It will be out soon, certainly within the next couple of weeks. Any classes you have won't be deleted and will have a week's grace period at the start, so you shouldn't face any interruptions.

Arthur

If I don't subcribe to ABC digital, will I still have access to the digital resources?
Also I really like having the resources mailed to me, especially the Teacher's guides, posters, take home pages and Preschool story board. Will I have to purchase both digital subscription and print?

Hi Karen,
Yes, you will still have access to the content on the ABC Resources page via the printed codes. Those were set up to be used in tandem with the printed materials, whereas ABC Digital is intended to be a complete, fully digital solution. As such, most, but not all of the digital content will be available on the ABC Resources page, but ABC Digital will have everything. You won't have to purchase both the ABC Digital subscription and the Teacher Kits, but that is an option if it fits your use case.
Please let me know if you have any more questions!
Blessings,
Arthur

Lessons not loading
When I try to access my lessons for digital resources, the page never loads or just times out.

Hi Amanda,
I checked on your class and saw it had Wednesday Ladies Bible Study Lesson 39: "A Bride for Isaac" postponed until Feb. 3rd, so I cleared that and updated your current lesson to Lesson 27. Feel free to go ahead and re-postpone the lesson until Feb. 3rd and the rest of the schedule will follow suit.
Please let me know if you need anything else!

Arthur

How do we skip two lessons? A sub taught 2 in a row and Teach taught Trinity. Now we want Lesson 9 on Dec 6 to be taught by Teacher.
Our Teacher was out for two weeks, and the Sub continued teaching but skipped Trinity Lesson when he returned. Now I have to reschedule Lesson 6 for Dec 6 and it won't let me. In our Adult - Morning Class

Hi Deanna,
Happy to help! Your Adult - Morning class has been rescheduled for Lesson 6 on Dec. 6th. Please let me know if you need anything else!

Will the Online Digital Access offer KJV curriculum?
Our church uses the KJV but I don't see that as an option on the Digital Access. Will that be happening soon?

Hi Danette,
Thanks for your question! The delay in supporting KJV resources in ABC Digital has largely been due to priority and capacity issues, not lack of access to the materials (though production on KJV is a couple of units behind ESV). We have been focusing on ensuring that ABC Digital (ESV) is in the best place it can be for our January 2nd launch. At that point, we'll determine the best path forward to slot in future improvements like integrating a KJV version.
In the meantime, we still have the original ABC Resources page available for use with your KJV access codes from the printed materials.
Blessings,
Arthur

Server error message
I have been getting a server message the last two weeks and cannot access our lessons.

Hi Debbie,
I'm not sure what server error message you had, but I just checked on your classes and noticed that they were affected by a recent DST-related bug in our schedule code. I've fixed your classes to the best of my knowledge, but please review and let me know if you need any more changes.
You should be able to access your class directly via this link: https://myanswers.com/edu/19120/schedule/. If you're still seeing a server message, please provide the URL and the error text.
Thank you,
Arthur

Dates off on Schedule
We are currently on Unit 1 Lesson 8 but the dates are off. It should be Sunday, November 8 but shows November 15.

Hi Wendi,
Our apologies for that; it appears that the ABC Digital lesson schedule had a conflict with the recent DST adjustment, causing the current and previous lesson markers to shift forward a week. I just went in and fixed it for your lessons, and we are looking into a fix for the DST bug. Please let me know if you need anything else!

Arthur

Holiday lessons
Thank you for giving us the ability to postpone lessons. That helps tremendously. One other thing that would be helpful would be the ability to add the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter lessons to the digital classes.

Hi Wendy,
We agree! We do want to better incorporate the seasonal holiday lessons in ABC Digital, but our feature set is already locked in for the 1.0 release, so that improvement will have to wait a little longer after that. We'll be sending an email out to all our ABC Digital Directors with details on the 1.0 release soon!

Arthur

On an iPad in landscape mode, settings print bar on left blocks content
The Lesson page in ABC Digital is partially covered by the utility bar (settings, print etc.) on left, when using an iPad in Landscape mode, using the Chrome Browser. In Portrait mode the page is not covered because the bar is at the bottom of the screen.

Hi Jim,
The menu bar layout issue has now been resolved. Thanks again for reporting this!

Arthur
