nametag

Dawn Stanford 4 years ago updated 4 years ago 4

I tried to print student nametags, but after the Island Team name, it says, "(13 out of 13 assigned)". How can I get rid of that and just have it print the child's name and Team name?

Answer

Hello Elisha,

In order for the 4 groups to show up as separate groups instead of one, you will need to specify a different starting station for each team other than opening assembly. I went ahead and made some changes for you to look at and review. You are welcome to adjust the teams to your desired starting positions, but I hope you being able to see it will be of help. Please let us know if you have any further questions or issues!

Printing Label Options

Hi,

I attempted to print the name tags and it seems the print preview is showing the labels in landscape only so it looks wonky and will waste paper. I've tried on two different computers and also tried saving as pdf.  I am trying to make our process a smooth as possible.  I'd rather not have to physically write kids names on tags or worry about lanyards when I can print to a label.  Thanks***

Answer

Hello Stephanie,

This is a known issue and we are currently working on a resolution. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused you. To fix this, you will need to use the Avery template 74459. Here is a link to the template: https://www.avery.com/templates/74459

cannot type in the email body

Laura Wipperman 4 years ago updated by Arthur L. (Answers in Genesis - Business Analyst) 4 years ago 2

I tried to type in the body of an email I want to send to my volunteers, but it won't let me enter that field.

Answer

Hi Laura,

As Ben said, we are aware of this issue and are working on a fix to make it more user-friendly.

In the meantime, iIf you're having issues being able to type in the email body field (https://myanswers.com/vbs/manage/23282/send-email/), please try refreshing the page and then clicking once inside the body field. The blinking cursor won't appear, but you should still be able to enter text in the box.

Thanks!

How do I stop number of assigned to each team from printing on name tag?

Joanna M 4 years ago updated by Arthur L. (Answers in Genesis - Business Analyst) 4 years ago 3

I do not want how many are assigned to each team to be printed on the name tags.  How do I make that happen?

Answer

Hello Joanna,

Unfortunately, we aren't able to support customization of the print nametags feature within VBS Digital, but you can print your own custom name tag labels in a word processor using Avery template #74459/5392.

Is limited registration an option?

Ben 4 years ago updated by Arthur L. (Answers in Genesis - Business Analyst) 4 years ago 2

We've got a good problem that our VBS has filled up! We deactivated student registration on our public page. However, we still want to be able to work with a few families whose children can slot into a couple groups. Is there a way to share a registration link with those people without having the link live on the website? We're afraid that if we do that we'll get inundated with people that we won't be able to serve. I tried copying the link that the registration button goes to, but the link isn't working unless the student registration button is activated. Is there a way around this? Thanks!

Answer

Hello Ben,

Benjamin was correct in that the registration link's validity is tied to whether or not registration is open, so you can't use it in that way. However, you can add additional students from within VBS Digital (without registration being active) here: https://myanswers.com/vbs/manage/23684/students/add/.

I lost my access code, what do I do?

Katie Newsom 4 years ago updated by Benjamin S. (Answers in Genesis - Web Support Analyst) 4 years ago 1

I went to log in on the church computer and it asked for my access code, I have lost the card with my code on it, what do I do now?

Answer

Hello Katie,

Since your church has already claimed the access code, you will not be able to claim to access code again. I verified that you have access to your VBS event. Here is the link to your event: https://myanswers.com/vbs/manage/23454/.
