Hi Kimberly,

The unit resources access code unlocks the resources for all age groups within the unit, but the Pre-K1 material displays by default. To change the age group, please make sure you first select the age group from the sidebar on the left, then the units and lessons for that age group will appear.

If you don’t see a left sidebar, you are probably using a smaller screen and our site’s responsive design has hidden it. In that case, click the menu icon (≡) next to the logo on the top-left to display the list.

Thanks for your feedback on the rotation schedules! The current setup is fairly rigid so it won't fit all use cases for all our various churches using VBS, but we did our best to handle the majority of them. I have added your feedback to our task to expand the rotation schedule options, though I can't promise a timeframe on adding it as we are very short-staffed in development at present.

Unfortunately, we do not support automatically hiding the choice when a Volunteer Role has been filled.

You can set maximum team and role sizes, but that doesn't close registration when they fill up, it just stops auto-assigning registered students and volunteers from the associated age groups and volunteer roles to the various teams/roles. For volunteers, the idea is to take their preferences and then have the director review, assign, and finalize the various roles.

For students, you can set up a second waitlist team to contain students who register after the main team is full. You can also adjust the name of the age group to add "(Full/Waitlisted)" or something similar to discourage additional registrations (this works for volunteer roles too), but enabling/disabling registration overall is an all-or-nothing process. Once student age groups are full, you can hide them on the registration form by unchecking the box in your age group settings and clicking save. This is not an option for volunteer roles, however.

We would like to expand/improve the registrations in the future, and thank you for your feedback!

I just spoke with Customer Service today about this. The kits will start shipping by the end of this month (February). Due to supply chain issues, we have had to pivot to printing the kits in-house, which has caused a delay in getting those sent out.

Updating and improving the coordinator roles has been a very common request already this year (and in the past), both for adding new ones and locking down edit permissions for the non-director roles. The way the system is set up at present, people either get full view/add/edit permissions or nothing for students, volunteers, teams, etc.

It would be really nice to be able to segment out those permissions more and we are evaluating how best to do that. The issue at present is if we remove permissions from any of the sub-director roles, they would also lose access to viewing the various sections as well, so we would need to adjust those permissions to allow for view-only access.

The Teacher role is the most restricted at the moment, just giving access to the digital library and promotion tools.

1. The teacher role only has access to their checklist and the VBS Digital library.  We have a task to update the description of the Teacher role but our development resources are severely limited at present so I can't promise a timeframe on that fix.

2. No, VBS Digital does not currently support editing the existing coordinator roles. I just checked on the permissions setup in the backend and it doesn't currently allow for granular permissions among the various roles, so it is all or nothing for students, volunteers, teams, etc. Those roles need to be able to view the students, volunteers, and teams, so they are set up like that for now.
Further breaking apart the permissions and improving the coordinator roles and permissions is is something we definitely want to add. When we do get some more help I will be sure to prioritize presenting that as an area that needs work.
