Thanks for the update. Do you have a small logo we could publish on online? The current logos are too large, even the small ones, to add to our website. I'd like to have at least the logo along with the link to my registration, at least until the countdown banner becomes available.

Is this something you can provide soon?

Hi Brad ~ Though I'm all for making sure we have customizing options (and usually will go with the majority), let me be the "naysayer?" on this... Several of the requests made above, I don't feel should be done through this venue. I think it will get to be too much to get through and we can miss something or have to delete something on the forms that do not apply to everyone. I don't believe you can customize it to include everything everyone wants on here as adding all these options will make others have to delete way too many things for their own customization of the Director site.

Several of the things we do to get ready for VBS, we can do and should continue to be done outside of your website. Our church also asks for donations for materials, tho we do not charge for our VBS (it's free), we do not need the payment information option, etc., and do a lot other things to get us ready for it, I don't feel it needs to be something added to the site as a checklist as it pertains only to our church.

If you'd like my opinion, I think this should be left only for the tasks that are pertinent to conducting the VBS, as you've done before and not add way too many things for everyone, instead of just a couple/few who might want it customized for them.

It also appears that maybe a tutorial of how to customize the Director for each church's individual needs should be available. This way, you don't necessarily need to add all these customization options, but rather you can teach people how to use the Director and customize it for their "individual" needs.

Our VBS roster since we started with AIG has grown from 30+ to 70+ in four years. We're hoping to be blessed with 100 children soon! I've also had experience with much larger rosters (100-200+). I've found the provided website as such to be a great enhancement to our pre-VBS and during VBS planning activities, especially for registration. To our staff, it is simple to use and very productive.

Every day before VBS, I have my administrator download the excel roster to whichever tool she wants to use (laptop, Ipad, phone) in order for her to keep attendance as children arrive. Then, we uploaded it back in to the roster and we had an up-to-date roster every morning, which she then uses to give the rest of my coordinators (games, snacks, crafts, teachers, etc.) to make sure they are aware of how many (or which) children they each will have the next day. This allows for pre-prep for the next day.

We have also made it a part of registration, especially after the first day, to ask the parents if their child(ren) will be coming back. We tell them this way they will have their spot all ready for the next day. Or, otherwise, we know if the child will miss the next day (for whatever reason) or will be coming back. When we ask the parent this, they usually tell us how their child feels about VBS (excited, fun, etc.). We often get told of the disappointment of their child that they're not making it the next day (or a day during the week) due to dr. appointment, planned day out, etc.

All this to say, our church very much appreciates that we do have not only great VBS materials to use, but also we're given the opportunity to use this VBS Manager/Director application for administering the VBS. We're very thankful that we do not have to do it on our own or "re-invent the wheel" every year.

Please pass this on to AIG ~~ Thank you again!

Thanks Brad for replying... just saw her email and was about to give her the same info...

AIG/Brad Brown: I'm piggybacking on your site for this info. and I hope it's ok...

Linda... FYI -- you can go to google maps and adjust or "fix" your church's map location. It'll take a few weeks, but they'll change it for you. I did it for our church's name as it showed the name of the church that was there before us and moved the position of it to the west, right on top of our building. This will help you so you can show the church's map location.

Similar question here... I have an administrative aid who I'd like to be able to print rosters and labels, but not change any information.

I'd like to make sure that being able to customize the particpant/student's registration form is available for when the published VBS' registration is open. Our registration form has several extra questions we ask of our students and we also have a disclaimer for parents to allow us to use and post to our church website & VBS FB page any pictures taken of their children during VBS. In the last 3 years, we've only had one parent who declined and we were able to separate all of that child's pictures before posting them.

Once the vbs page is made public, if we need to make a change on the page, will it be necessary to unpublish the page, make the changes, and then republish it again? Or, can the changes be made while the page is live and then by just saving the changes will update the page?

For the last three years, we used the Countdown (Days) Widget as well as the VBS Banner to promote our VBS within our Website. We'd like to use something similar to not only promote it within our church website, but also our church's Facebook Page. Will something like this be available. I believe it worked really well as kids (at least in our area) would look at the "Countdown Days for VBS!"
