Getting error 500 page even though I have a valid code for the curriculum to download the class notes, etc.

Karen Schultz 4 years ago updated by Benjamin S. (Answers in Genesis - Web Support Analyst) 4 years ago 1

I am trying to download the Class Notes from the abc-resource page. I have entered our code from the back of our teacher's manual and it takes me to the PK-1 access page, or I get an error 500 page. I cannot access the level 2-3 resources!

Answer

Hello Karen,

Yes, our apologies. We did have an issue, but with our most recent update this afternoon, the issue should be fixed. Please try to access your lesson resources and let me know if you are still not able to generate and download the PDF files.

Will the resources site page still be available as they were prior to this digital launch?

Answer

Yes, we will continue to fully support the ABC Resources page and entering the printed access codes that are included in the physical materials. None of that process will be changed with the launch of ABC Digital. Please let me know if you have any more questions!

Help with Error 500

Stephanie Hartsell 4 years ago updated by Arthur L. (Answers in Genesis - Business Analyst) 4 years ago 1

I called in to get help because we do not use all of the lessons in the curriculum.  I called in to get help because i have been having to set up classes and change dates in order to get to what I need.  This is getting VERY time consuming.  I called in and the person I spoke with emailed me a link to help me get to the lessons but i keep getting a 500 error message when I click on the lessons.  I love the new format and expanded lessons in the 2nd generation curriculum but do not love the access to it.  This digital format is definitely not as user friendly as before.  Not loving it!

Answer

Hi Stephanie,

You can access the lesson resources outside of the ABC Digital access window here: https://myanswers.com/edu/resources/. Please note that you'll need to enter the access codes found in the teacher's guides. If you have lost any codes please let me know.

You can postpone your ABC Digital class lessons by going to your class schedule, clicking the more icon, and selecting "Reschedule lesson."

Beyond that, we will be expanding schedule customization options, but until then, please contact us for any schedule changes you need.

Blessings,

Arthur

Access code invalid

Juan Romero 4 years ago updated by Arthur L. (Answers in Genesis - Business Analyst) 4 years ago 1

Hello, I am able to log into the resource download page, and I have entered the code that was emailed to me when I purchased. However I get the error that the code is invalid. Now, I am able to log into MyAnswers and see all of the classes, and I can view the resources within those classes. Specifically what I am looking for is the family devotion booklet.

Why do the verse slides for unit 8 not have the verses on them?

Micky Summerville Jr 4 years ago updated by Arthur L. (Answers in Genesis - Business Analyst) 4 years ago 4

I'm using the KJV curriculum. In Unit 8, I've noticed that the verse slides do not have the verses on them. Is there a reason for this? Is this what they are going to be like from now on?

Answer

Hi Micky, I heard back from our curriculum team and have a response for you!

"Starting with Unit 8 KJV and Unit 9 ESV, we do not include the verses in the PPT for Adult and High School. This was done because the upper grades generally read long passages and sometimes entire chapters, which makes the PPT tedious to create and to flip through during class. Also, our intention is that students will be bringing their own Bibles to class and get used to reading from their own Bibles, which negates the need for the verses on the PPT. We included the references so that can be displayed to help students find the passages, but then they can read from the text. This is also important because we often refer to context, which will not be available if students are reading from the slides, and ask questions that refer back to the passage.

Middle School is inconsistent, because we did not include verses in KJV Unit 8, but then decided to go ahead and include them in Unit 9 and forward. At some point, I’ll try to update that one for consistency.

The PPT files are entirely editable, so he can always copy the verses in himself if he needs them."

Please let me know if you have any more questions or issues!

The link to the next lesson is showing a server error on your part - Server Error 500. I need this link functional to send to the parents of our Sunday School class members. Can you please help with this as soon as possible? I have been getting this server error message the past two days. Thanks, in advance!

Answer

Hi Kristine,

It looks like your share link for Lesson 122 expired at noon on June 9, 2020. I just manually re-set it to expire next Monday.

Please note that, as stated, the share links only last a week, so if you generate them too far ahead of time they may expire before your class actually gets to the lesson. For that reason, I would recommend holding off on generating them until you are a week or less from your lesson date.

I just generated a custom share link for your next lesson (123):

If you have any more questions, issues, or need your schedule adjusted, please let me know!
