Hi, I've tried sharing the link on Facebook by creating an event and sharing a post. However, the link to our church's VBS events page gets changed when shared to Facebook, and it sends you to myanswers.com instead of our actual VBS page.
Is there a way to change that? Our Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/firstbaptistchurchpaoli/

Good Afternoon Sarah,
The best way to get an accurate URL is to copy the one located at this page:
https://myanswers.com/vbs/manage/4211/public-page/.
On the right side of the page there is a copy button use that to paste the URL to your Facebook post.
Please let me know if you are still having problems.
Blessings,
Scott
Hi Sarah,
The link in the details section on your Facebook event is this: http://firstbaptistchurchpaoli.myanswers.com/time-lab/%E2%80%AC
Please change it to this link, and it will work: https://firstbaptistchurchpaoli.myanswers.com/time-lab/
Blessings,
Arthur
Hi Arthur, I have done that, but the link always leads you to the one with the %E2%80%AC link. It’s something to do with Facebook’s link security I think.
It looks like you still don't have https:// added to your link. Can you try that and see how it goes?
Please delete the entire link and paste the following in its place: https://firstbaptistchurchpaoli.myanswers.com/time-lab/
Hi Arthur,
I’m sorry to be so much trouble. I had it set to say https:// before, and it was still doing the %... link. That’s why I took off the https://, which ended up not fixing it. And on top of that, I can’t go in and change it because our church is boosting / promoting it.
Any other ideas? Thank you for your help!
Hello Sarah,
When using rich text fields you'll paste a link and it will make the URL display as the link text. Once this happens, if you try to edit the link text, it will only edit the link text, not the link. You'll either need to click the link icon above the text field and edit it there, or delete the whole link and paste the proper one in
I'm not familiar with how boosting/promoting works, but if the link is not changed, it will remain broken.
Blessings,
Scott
