Why are some students being registered twice and what can be done to prevent it?

Multiple students are being registered twice - I am not sure why.  The entries appear to be identical so I can go in and delete them, but it's a bit frustrating.  Do you know why this might be happening and is there a way to prevent it?

I have entered a test student on your VBS event and after registering, I only had one student created. Are you registering the students or are the parents? There is a 'I have more students to register' checkbox at the bottom of the Registration Form, this will allow someone to enter another student with the same family information, could someone be entering the same student a second time? 

Also, sometimes people will forget that they have registered a student already and enter them in a second time. As far as I can tell there is not an issue with duplicate student registrations. 



I have had the same thing happen but one parent contacted me yesterday that they did not receive a confirmation email so they did it a second time and then received confirmation for all the registrations.

The parents are registering their students.  While it is possible in a case or two that more than one person is registering the same child, it has happened too many times for that to be the case all of the time.  The duplicates are typically happening one right after another - not with any length of time between the two registrations.  

It is not happening with every student that is registered, but it has happened, I would say with at least 10 to 15 students.  

The only scenario that I can come up with that makes sense is that the website freezes up on the parents  and they think that it didn't go through so they enter it a second time.  Or they are somehow pushing the submit button twice.
